Two days, 80+ walk-ins, ₹36,000 in sales
Before asking anyone else to trust the new racks, we stocked them ourselves. Our own grocery store in Theni ran a protein and healthy snack pop-up here for one Friday and Saturday, and brought nothing but stock.

Anyone can say a room is ready to trade in. The honest way to prove it was to trade in it. So the first tenant on the new racking was our own grocery store in Theni.
We picked a range that has no proper shelf of its own in town yet: makhana, millet noodles, protein bars, protein shakes, Skyr yoghurt, date bites, nuts and seeds. More and more people here, especially students and anyone going to the gym, now turn a pack over to check the protein figure. We wanted to know whether that was enough to bring them through a door for it.
We brought stock, price tags and a billing phone. Nothing else. The racking and shelves were already here, so setting up meant unpacking cartons and arranging them.
Some of our first customers were students with their school bags still on, counting out pocket money for protein bars. A one-off pop-up gave us that kind of answer in days, without committing a single shelf in the main store.
